About This Blog
Hi! My name is Whitney, and I'm a Mormon teen. In our religion, the teenage girls participate in a program called Personal Progress. The purpose of this program is to help teenage girls develop into intelligent, confident women who will be worthy to go to the temple, have a family, and accomplish their goals in life.  In Personal Progress, there are eight values, or life skills which we focus on:
Divine Nature
Individual Worth
Choice and Accountability
Good Works
For each value, the girl must complete six value experiences, which allows the young woman to learn about and practice the value.  Then, she plans and completes a 10-hour project that practices that value.
This blog is my 10-hour project for Good Works. As you have seen, my goal is to let teens know about the LDS (Latter-Day Saint) religion. I know that there are a lot of rumors about our beliefs, and I want people to know the truth. My other purpose for this blog is to show other Mormon teens that it's not impossible to stand up for our beliefs, even if it seems really hard.
I'm just a normal teen. I live a normal life, and I just want to share the things I learn from day-to-day living with other people.

I have spent well over 10 hours on this blog already, but I love blogging, and I don't plan on stopping. :)

About Me
Hey there! My name is Whitney, and I'm a Mormon Teen! I am an aspiring musician. After the gospel of Jesus Christ, music is the most important aspect of my life. I'm the oldest of three kids, and I love my family so very dearly. Besides blogging and playing my viola, I enjoy public speaking, singing, playing other various instruments, composing and conducting music, reading, learning Spanish, teaching viola, hanging out with friends, and spending time with my family. My favorite color is pink (typical, I know). I love love love living in a place where I can enjoy four seasons. I'm obsessed with princesses, Harry Potter, Latin American stuff and big sweaters. I know that my Father in Heaven truly loves me and is the Father of my spirit. I know that Christ is my redeemer and my loving big brother. They love me and they love you.
